What Play Console checks
Google is looser than Apple on sizes and stricter on content. These are the things worth checking before you publish.
The feature graphic has no alpha
The 1024 × 500 feature graphic must be a JPEG or a 24-bit PNG with no transparency. It shows at the top of your listing and behind your promo video, so keep the important part away from the edges.
Four or more at 1080px for promotion
Google only considers apps for its recommendations and collections when they have at least four screenshots of 1080px or more on the short side. Two is the minimum to publish, not the minimum to be featured.
Show the app, not a poster
Google's listing policy asks that screenshots show the app in use. Frames and headlines are fine; a set made only of text and stock imagery can be rejected.
No rankings or price claims
Phrases like "#1", "best", "free" or "sale" in screenshots and the feature graphic go against Google's preview asset guidelines and can get an update rejected.
